Would you order a lobster sandwich at Wendy’s?

This month, Wendy’s Japan released three delicious-looking lobster burgers to its already surprisingly high-brow premium menu: The Caviar Burger, The Surf and Turf Burger and the Ocean Premium Salad.

The Lobster and Caviar Burger contains lobster chunks, lobster salad and caviar; The Surf and Turf Burger has a classic square meat patty, lobster and red onion; and The Ocean Premium Salad has lobster, caviar, avocado, vegetables and one egg. The new sandwiches run from $16 to $20.

Combined with their their current premium items like the Porcini Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Foie Gras Rossini, Japan’s premium menu sounds and looks way beyond what we’re used to in Wendy’s in America.

The burgers are currently not available in the United States, but if they were, do you think you’d dish out the dough on a lobster burger at Wendy’s?

I think the burgers look and sound great. I personally would rather spend that amount of money at a place that isn’t a fast-food restaurant. What do you think? Would you order it? Do you think you would enjoy it? Should Wendy’s in America up their menu’s ante in terms of fancier options?

Ew, I hate the fast food industry. No matter how hard fast food restaurants try to seem like they are selling gourmet food….they will never win me over. The lobster burger sounds great, but I think I’ll make it myself on the grill.

People go to fast food joints like Wendys because it’s cheap. That’s what we expect from them. If I’m paying $16 for a burger, it will not be coming from Wendys

this sounds disgusting. i can’t believe wendy’s actually thinks this will be a good idea. It’s like McDonald’s saying they will start serving Filet Mignon and have success. I know the only place I’ll have a lobster sandwich is in Boston!!!
